Local councillor Alex Woodman has published the latest Lib Dem leaflet for Cabot Ward. As it happens, the Lib Dems have finally come up with something sensible in the way of national policy - a 2p cut in Income Tax. (Plus the usual disingenous statement about their unwillingness to run the Council of course). Still, we'll have none of that "Not Invented Here" attitude around this way; a good policy is a good policy.
One of the other articles in the leaflet is about inflation:
Income Tax Cut to Help Through Hard Times
LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IN THE COUNTRY, residents of Cabot are suffering from rocketing food and energy prices. The government's own figures show that bread is up a fifth, butter and eggs by over a third and potatoes by over a quarter.
Local councillor Mark Wright joined forces recently with the Lib Dems' Shadow Chancellor Vince Cable MP (right) to highlight the real increase in the cost of living. They took a supermarket basket of basic groceries which together cost less than £10 last year. The same basket now costs over £12, a quarter higher.
Now the article was illlustrated with a photo of the other Cabot councillor Mark Wright:

The blank grey background is a bit odd. And I'm sure I've seen something like this before. Oh wait, I know, let's do a Google search for "Lib Dem Vince Cable basic groceries":
